Jacob has lived and worked in Latin America for over 20 years, developing initiatives aiming to create economic benefits for communities, businesses and organizations engaged in biodiversity conservation.
His background includes work with non-timber forest products, conservation of private lands and indigenous territories, and incentive-based conservation agreements in Latin America. He has been active in the field of climate change policy and projects since 1996. Over many years, he has had the privilege of working with exceptional grassroots and community groups, consulting extensively for international organizations as well as exploring the extraordinary mountains and forests of the Andes, Amazon and Central America.
Jacob has a B.A. in Development Studies from Brown University and a Master’s in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell University.
